Demo Day 2014 ATP Innovations

Demo Day at ATP Innovations

INCUBATE hosted its third Demo Day at ATP Innovations earlier this month with the startups pitching to an enthusiastic audience of supporters, business advisors, mentors and investors.

James Alexander, Program Manager, explains “We’ve been very happy with the growth and development of the Sydney University startups over the three months of summer 2014 program. Each startup team has made some great accomplishments with one receiving investment and another making a significant number of pre-oders before Demo Day.”

Tzukuri launched their exciting new wearable technology sunglasses product, taking a number of pre-orders before and on the night.

INCUBATE’s first bio-tech startup, Trimph, pitched for support as the founder, Ali Fathi, laid out plans for a variety of products in regenerative medicine. Trimph is a University of Sydney invention with potentially world-changing health applications.

Vistr, has already been accepted in to the Telstra-backed Muru-D Program and received investment, a great validation of the high-quality entrepreneurs and startups coming through INCUBATE.

Demo Day also featured a keynote from INCUBATE mentor, Chris Gabrielle, who encouraged the startups to “Be bold, be daring and be different” and that “Situation plus attitude plus action equals outcome.” Chris is a telco entrepreneur and one of INCUBATE’s most active mentors. Chris is currently the Chairman of Alive Mobile.

Congratulations to our six most recent start-ups through the program; Tzukuri, OneIntern, Beak, Infrasis, Trimph and Vistr.

Thanks to ATP Innovations for their venue and event support and to our Program Partners Google for Entrepreneurs, Freelancer.com, Coca Cola Accelerator and NICTA.

Industry and investors interested in coming to our National Demo Day on April 11 should subscribe to our industry list here.
