Home-grown startup TheBestDay has teamed up with OzHarvest to make your next meal with mates matter. For every dinner planned on www.dinnergiver.com, TheBestDay will donate a dinner to someone in need.
TheBestDay is a social planing tool that makes it easier to bring your group together. The website allows you to set options for date, time and venue, and invite your group to vote – cutting out the back-and-forth and ‘maybe’ responses.
Founder & CEO Whitney Komor raised a $1.1M round of funding earlier this year from OneVentures and a syndicate of 18 Sydney Angels. “We’ve has a Beta in market for a while now and this is our first real drive to get people making plans with TheBestDay” says Komor.
OzHarvest founder Ronni Kahn says “We waste close to a staggering $8 billion of food each year in Australia. We’re thrilled to partner with TheBestDay to give people a fun, easy way to help us on our mission to reduce food waste and provide more meals to vulnerable Australians.”
Help us give 10,000 dinners by promoting #DinnerGiver
